When a soldier pays the ultimate price and lays down his or her life protecting the freedom of our great country it goes largely unnoticed; until now. Every week I post the names of those “who gave all” from the previous week so we can remember them and remember why we have the freedom we do. Let’s keep the hope that someday there will be no more names to report.

Age 21, of The Colony, Texas; assigned to 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.; died April 11 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds caused by small-arms fire.

Age 22, of Tacoma, Wash.; assigned to 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.; died April 11 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, while conducting combat operations.
