When a soldier pays the ultimate price and lays down his or her life protecting the freedom of our great country it goes largely unnoticed; until now. Every week I post the names of those “who gave all” from the previous week so we can remember them and remember why we have the freedom we do. Army Spc. Philip C.S. Schiller – Died April 11, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom. Age 21, of The Colony, Texas; assigned to 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.; died April 11 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds caused by small-arms fire.

Marine Lance Cpl. Ramon T. Kaipat – Died April 11, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom. Age 22, of Tacoma, Wash.; assigned to 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.; died April 11 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, while conducting combat operations.

Age 25, Providence, R.I.; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; died April 12 in Helmand province, Afghanistan, while conducting combat operations.

Army Sgt. Tanner S. Higgins – Died April 14, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom. Age 23, of Yantis, Texas; assigned to 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Hunter Army Airfield, Ga.; died Apr. 14 in Logar province, Afghanistan, of wounds caused by enemy small-arms fire.
