When a soldier pays the ultimate price and lays down his or her life protecting the freedom of our great country it goes largely unnoticed.
I find it VERY sad we don't just fly our flags at half staff till we bring them all home. Let's face it, these brave individuals die every day, every week. So, why are we not flying our flags in them?
Here are the most recent hero's “who gave all” so let's fly those flags at 'half staff' in our hearts in their honor! I also left the John Wayne piece up in case you missed it from last week.

Army Spc. James A. Justice - Died August 17, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom. Age 21, of Grover, N.C.; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Vicenza, Italy; died Aug. 17 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany, from injuries suffered Aug. 14 that were caused by small-arms fire in Wardak province, Afghanistan.
Army Pfc. Michael R. DeMarsico II - Died August 16, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom. Age 20, of North Adams, Mass.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.; died Aug. 16 in Panjway, Afghanistan, of wounds caused by an improvised explosive device.
Army Staff Sgt. Eric S. Holman - Died August 15, 2012 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom. Age 39, of Evans City, Pa.; assigned to 192nd Ordnance Battalion, 52nd Ordnance Group, 20th Support Command, Fort Bragg, N.C.; died Aug. 15 in Ghazni province, Afghanistan, of wounds caused by an improvised explosive device.

Also killed were Marine Staff Sgt. Scott E. Dickinson, 29, of San Diego and Marine Cpl. Richard A. Rivera Jr., 20 of Ventura, Calif.

2013 Greeley Stampede Demolition Derby Gears Up July 7th
The Greeley Stampede is coming up, and you know what that means. Corndogs, cowboy hats, concerts, and cars. One of the best parts of the 10-day festival is the demolition derby. Hundreds (yes, hundreds) of drivers will partake in the destructive chaos. This year's demolition derby will take place on July 7th at 2:00 PM, and tickets cost $20-25.
