Northbound I-25 was closed Sunday (February 28, 2016) morning for over two hours after a pedestrian was hit and killed by an SUV. According to the Coloradoan, alcohol and excessive speed are not considered factors in the accident, when an unidentified victim was struck by a Ford Expedition in the northbound lane of I-25. The accident happened at around 3 a.m. near Johnson's Corner, while the victim was walking along the left fog line. The driver came to an immediate stop, after hitting the pedestrian, and called 911. The northbound land of I-25 reopened around 6 a.m.
