For those of you waiting for another sports retailer to move into Northern Colorado, one major company begins the process this month.

According to the Coloradoan, major retailer Scheel's will start to break ground on their new location in Johnstown on February 17th. The location will be 250,000 square feet and will be situated east of the Interstate 25 US 34 exit.

It will be the retailer's first location in Colorado and they say it will showcase the largest selection of sports, fashion, and footwear under one roof in the entire state.

A 65 foot ferris wheel will also be included in the store. For an idea of what the ferris wheel could look like, check out this video of one of their locations in Nevada:

400 new jobs for Northern Colorado are expected to be created at the new location.

Other special attractions at the location would include a 16,000 gallon aquarium, wildlife mountain, shooting galleries, and laser shot simulators.

However, if you are hoping to do your holiday shopping at Scheels in 2016, you'll have to wait a while longer. The Johnstown location doesn't plan on being open until 2018 and will be the anchor of the new Johnstown Plaza.

The company has 26 other stores throughout 11 states.
