Loveland Woman Leads Police Chase, Crashes Car with Kids Inside
Officers said they tried to stop a driver in Loveland for a traffic infraction Monday night. But that driver sped off instead of stopping. The woman led police on a chase through an apartment complex near 1st Street and Denver Boulevard. According to witnesses, her car crashed through a fence and landed in a ditch filled with water.
The Colorado State Patrol confirmed the woman ran off leaving two people in her car and witnesses said those two people were actually children. A witness said an officer jumped into the ditch to save the children because the car was filling up with water. The driver was caught and arrested. Authorities said she had outstanding felony warrants.
