The fire on Tuesday night that damaged the Ward Construction office and several other businesses in Loveland is believed to be accidental, but the cause is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.

According to the Loveland Reporter-Herald, more than a dozen nearby residents had to be evacuated from their homes. Seven Northern Colorado fire agencies collaborated in fighting the fire, including Berthoud, Windsor, Greeley, Johnstown and Frederick-Firestone. More than 25 pieces of fire equipment were at the scene late Tuesday and early Wednesday.

Lincoln Avenue was closed for about six blocks to allow crews from around the area to fight the fire. The 10,700-square-foot building was valued at more than $1 million.
