Jared Heveran is from Loveland. He has stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease. He needs a new kidney. He is hoping he can find a match with someone who is willing to donate, before it's too late.  The following letter is on Jared's Facebook page, "A Kidney for Jared".

Hello everyone. Thank you so much for reading and sharing our page. We are The Heveran Family; We live in Loveland Colorado. Our world was turned upside down 2 years ago. After regular blood work provided by Jared’s employer The City of Fort Collins, their wellness program showed that Jared's kidney function was low. After doctor’s appointments, kidney biopsy, skin biopsy, it was confirmed that he has a mutation of Alport Syndrome.

While Jared might not look sick, on the inside, his kidneys are only functioning at 18%. That is why we need your help. He needs a kidney transplant. The good news is that Jared is an AB blood type. He can receive a kidney from any blood type (A, B, AB, O).
There are many benefits to finding a living kidney donor. Our Goal is to find a living donor before the need for dialysis. Live donor kidneys can last 5+ years longer than a deceased donor, an average of 20 years. Receiving a preemptive transplant and never going on dialysis leads to higher transplant success rates. We are hoping thru social media an anonymous kidney donor will come forward and help us.

Jared has Chronic Kidney Disease - stage 4 (stage 5 is dialysis), and we hope it can stay that way until he gets a transplant. We are still learning about the kidney donation process, and since we don't have all the answers, we have a contact at the University of Colorado Hospital, Nesh. She has asked that all interested persons please review their living kidney donation website, it will answer many of your questions. uchealth.org/livingkidneydonation

If after review you would like to be tested to see if you are a match for Jared please call 720-848-0855. YOU MUST STATE THAT YOU ARE CALLING TO SEE IF YOU ARE A MATCH FOR JARED HEVERAN'S KIDNEY TRANSPLANT. (FYI - due to the high need for organ donation, Nesh and her staff may take a couple of days to get back to you, please be patient, and thank you)

Please note that all conversations with the hospital are confidential, meaning that even Jared is not privy to who may call about the process or who may actually begin the process. In fact, if anyone is interested in donation, he/she must initiate the call. We are not allowed to serve as messengers, the arrangement is done to protect the donor. Any donor testing and/or procedure is covered under our health insurance.

Thank you so very much for sharing this page with ALL your family and friends.

Love The Heveran Family

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Heveran Family.
