Loveland is One Step Closer to Getting a King Soopers Megastore

North Loveland may be the home of a 123,000-square-foot King Soopers "megastore" by January 2018.

According to the Reporter Herald, the store would be twice the size of their traditional grocery store and would also include a King Soopers gas station and a 15,000-square-foot retail building that would house up to eight other businesses.

Though there have been questions about traffic and storm drainage issues that may result from the construction, there were no major objections to the project during a neighborhood meeting on Thursday (April 7, 2016) that updated the community and city staff.

According to one source, it's "inevitable. it's going to happen," and if everything goes smoothly, they will break ground with an anticipated opening of January, 2018.
