Little Big Town To Open For Rodney Atkins Tomorrow At the Greeley Stampede

Little Big Town will open for Rodney Atkins Friday night at the Greeley Stampede. I would pay the admission just to see Little Big Town, but you are getting two headliners for the price of one…and that price is $24 or $29.

The band is probably best known for their top ten hits “Boondocks” and “Little White Church”, but their biggest song on the country charts was “Bring It On Home”. It went top 5 in 2006. Little Big Town was formed in 1998, and has kept the same four members since its inception: Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook, and Phillip Sweet. Karen and Jimi are husband and wife. Little Big Town’s musical stylings are defined by four-part vocal harmonies. Unlike most groups, they do not feature a set lead singer. Instead their song are either led by one of the four members or by all four in varying combinations.

The members of Little Big Town have very big hearts with their “Ride For A Cure” and their part in the “Bama Rising: A Benefit Concert for Alabama Tornado relief”.  They also recently teamed up with Sugarland to record a live version of “Stand Up”. It happened during Sugarland’s Incredible Machine Tour stop in Chicago on May 6th.   Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush invited the band on stage to join them for “Stand Up,” the show’s traditional encore. “Stand Up For Tornado Relief” is available exclusively on iTunes. Proceeds will go to the American Red Cross for tornado relief in Alabama, as well as to aid the more recently-affected residents of Joplin, MO. Someone in the audience caught the performance on video.
