Lazy Boy Great Colorado Pie Fight a Huge Success! The Garlic Knot & Falbo Brothers Take Top Honors! [PICTURES]

The Lazy Boy Great Colorado Pie Fight was a rousing success on Saturday. Over 700 people packed into the Northside Aztlan Community Center in Fort Collins to sample the best pizza in Northern Colorado.

The Garlic Knot and Falbo Bros. Pizzeria were the big winners on Saturday. The Garlic Knot won the “Judges Choice Award”. Falbo Bros. won the “People’s Choice Award”. It was extremely close and actually came down to one vote.

The Great Colorado Pie Eating contest was won by Bean from our sister station 99.9 The Point. Brian and I finished respectably. We both had only a small amount of crust left over after 5 minutes.

We would like to thank all of the participating pizza restaurants for this year’s event including: Amici Pizzeria, Falbo Bros Pizzeria, Garlic Knot Pizza, LaPorte Pizza, Mama Ronis Pizza, Marco’s Pizza, Pizza Casbah, Pizza Hut, Tony’s Bar, and Uncle’s Pizzeria.
