Lauren Alaina: I Was Rejected Twice by ‘America’s Got Talent’ [VIDEO]
Though she didn’t win ‘American Idol’ season, 16-year-old runner-up Lauren Alaina is apparently used to rejection.
The Rossville, GA, native revealed Thursday on ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno’ that she had previously tried out twice for ‘America’s Got Talent,’ and was shown the door both times.
Naturally, Leno’s other guest, ‘Talent’ judge Piers Morgan, was stunned when he heard the news.
“Are you serious?” he asked. “You applied twice? You didn’t come in front of the judges?” he asked her. “This is a scandal.”
Apparently, ‘Talent’s’ loss was ‘Idol’s’ gain.
