According to the Coloradoan, Foothills Gateway, Inc. and Mosaic in Northern Colorado have confirmed that they are in the process of closing residential and licensed group homes. State funding has been reduced for those with special needs. The state funding is per each individual with disabilities.

The outstretched effect on Northern Colorado is more than 60 residents with nearly 20 who currently live in group homes. It is said that Foothills Gateway, Inc. will have to close two of four Loveland homes by June, displacing about 6 individuals with special needs.

The annual deficit for these services is around $400-thousand per a foothills board member.
