The window of a Larimer County Sheriff's Office vehicle was shattered while transporting inmates yesterday on I-25. Sheriff's Office corrections deputies were transporting three inmates from the Jefferson County Detention Center to the Larimer County jail. While traveling northbound on I-25 just north of Mead, the right passenger window of the transport vehicle was shattered. No one was injured by the incident.

The transport vehicle is a white passenger van clearly marked with "Larimer Sheriff" on the rear cargo doors. The damage to the window is consistent with that caused by some form of projectile designed to break glass. Weld County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the scene to investigate the incident. No witnesses or suspects were located.

Deputies safely transported the three inmates to the Larimer County Jail.
