Lance Cpl. Caleb L. Erickson - Age 20 from Waseca, Minnesota. Killed In Action 28 February while conducting combat operations (suicide bomber) in Helmand province, Afghanistan. Lance Cpl. Caleb L. Erickson was assigned to 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Master Sgt. David L. Poirier - Age 52 from  North Smithfield, Rhode.Island. Died 28 February from a non-combat related incident which is currently under investigation. Master Sgt. David L. Poirier was assigned to the 157th Operations Support Squadron, Pease Air National Guard Base, N.H.
