The kids are officially out of school! Now, you could be like me and excited that you gain an extra 20 minutes of sleep each morning because there isn't the need to continuously having to wake them up.

But for some parents, the question comes up of...WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH THEM THIS SUMMER?!? Believe me, you aren't the only person asking that as I know my wife has already posed that question a few times.

So I am here to help with the three big things that I'll be doing with my children this Summer that I think your family could benefit from as well.

Give us your opinion as well below and let us know what you think should be a "must do" with Summer vacation children!

I live right down the road from the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, with their location at the Environmental Learning Center off of Ziegler in Fort Collins. The first time we came to this site, I was in awe of the birds that they had for you to look at and study. We also were able to watch them during their feeding time, which was an experience onto itself.

Their main raptor rehabilitation center is not open to the public, but this location off of Ziegler is perfect for families. Plus, the Poudre River Trail starts at this location along with a few other side trails for your family to take in. Pack a lunch, because you could literally spend a few hours of your day here.

2.) FORT COLLINS MUSEUM OF DISCOVERY

Want to keep the kids indoors on a hot day, but keep them busy so they are tired when the end of the day comes? The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery is highly recommended by me and many other Fort Collins residents! With hands on displays and over 100 interactive exhibits, the kids will get all their energy out while having a great time doing it!

3.) ROCKY MOUNTAIN CONSERVANCY

The Rocky Mountain Conservancy has plenty of things for your family to do this Summer which will give you a chance to learn about everything the mountains have to offer. With educational features that happen throughout the Summer, everyone of any age can learn something they never knew about and it's right in our own backyard!
