I can remember having the 8-track tape player in my car and cranking Kenny Rogers. We all love Kenny Rogers. He is truly one of the best people this industry has ever seen. A great artist and a great soul.

Kenny has had so many great songs from “The Gambler” to “Buy Me a Rose” but one of my all time favorites hit number one on this date in 1980 and held that spot for 3 weeks. Today is the 37th anniversary of “Coward of the County” hitting the top of the charts. Take a trip back with me and you will have this going through your head for the rest of the day. Sorry.
