As expected, the Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw trek, the Brothers of the Sun Tour, has surpassed the one million mark in ticket sales. The tour launched in June and has quickly become one of the summer’s hottest shows, regardless of genre. Pollstar recently named the tour as the highest-grossing trek of the summer, topping other big name artists including Roger Waters, Coldplay and the Dave Matthews Band.

Thanks to the high volume of ticket sales, the Brothers of the Sun Tour has been crowned king of the Chicago Tribune’s Watch the Throne of country music concerts title, cementing its position as the hottest tour of the year.

“I’m so grateful to all of the fans that have made this tour such an amazing success and a nonstop party night after night,” Chesney said. “Being out on the road with Tim has been incredible, and we still have a lot of songs left to sing this summer.”

The Brothers of the Sun Tour marks the ninth consecutive tour that Chesney has reached the million tickets milestone, following last year’s ‘Goin’ Coastal’ Tour. It’s official: Fans love Chesney and turn out in droves to see him play live.

The tour continues on next weekend with stops in New Jersey and Washington, D.C. Click here for a full list of the remaining tour dates for the must-see trek.
