Is Kelsea Ballerini trying to tell us something? The singer is taking fans on a mysterious journey with the release of a new video that may offer a taste of new music from an upcoming album.

It all started on Monday (May 29) when the country starlet took to Instagram and posted a photo of what looks like light pink brush strokes, with no context of the photo provided. It was preceded by another photo of herself performing in front of a large crowd with the intriguing caption, "surprise coming. ttyl." She followed the images with a video of someone — likely the singer herself — wearing a pink chiffon ball gown on the beach, showing off close-up shots of the dress as a pop/electronic beat plays in the background, with a female voice singing inaudible lyrics. To add even more suspicion to the situation, she re-posted the photo of the pink fabric after the video.

Fans were clearly freaking out about the mystery video and photos, posting comments like "Are we getting next chapter clues???," "I am so confused/excited!" and "New era, I'm digging the vibe already."

Ready for new music, Ballerini opened up about the project in early 2017, saying it shows off a more mature side. “I have to be honest about growing up and becoming a young woman. That’s why we picked ‘Yeah Boy’ to be the last single from the first album—there’s nothing like that on this next record,” Ballerini told GQ about her sophomore album.

The "Peter Pan" singer has a jam packed summer, as she's now on the road with Lady Antebellum on their 2017 You Look Good World Tour while also serving as an opening act on Thomas Rhett's 2017 Home Team Tour.
