Keith Whitley Won Me Over In 1989 With This Number One Hit – Brian’s Blog [VIDEO]

One of the first artist I played when we became a country station 25 years ago was Keith Whitley. I was unfamiliar with him at the time but that changed in a hurry when I heard "I'm No Stranger To The Rain". That song went to number one and then we unfortunately lost Keith to alcohol poisoning at the age of 33 in May of 1989. Here are a few of my favorites from one of the greatest country voices that was taken way too soon. Keith would have been one of the biggest stars country had ever seen. Enjoy the memories.
