Katie’s Ride to Benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Time again for one of the funnest rides around and we’re talking about Katie’s Ride which benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This year ride will take place on Sunday July 17th and offers a new twist this year.
Last years ride raised over $10,000 and some exciting changes have been made for this year.
The route will take you on a beautiful mountain ride before ending at Crazy Jacks in Fort Collins. Top hand of $500 up for grabs and even a $25 payout for worst hand…which is usually mine.
The biggest change this year is Katie’s personal wish to help her 15 year old friend Samantha who Katie has grown up with and also living with Cystic Fibrosis. Samantha has done as well as Katie this past year and has been hospitalized several times. Samantha’s current condition put Katie at risk so these two best friends can’t even hang out in person anymore. {Where is my kleenex}
So, this year, they will make “CF” stand for “Caring Friends” and will split the efforts 50/50. 50% of the money will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and and the other half will go to help offset Samantha’s medical expenses.
