When I was a kid I can remember my family always making the comment “I wish I had half as much energy as that kid.” I always got annoyed by it thinking that they were just lazy, and if they really wanted to they could get off the couch and run around in circles and bounce off the walls with me. Now that I have kids of my own I realize that their energy level really is through the roof and people weren’t kidding when they made those comments! I am always looking for creative ways to burn the kid’s energy, and this weekend it’s a no-brainer! Jr. JAM! The day where it’s fun to be a kid.

This year Jr. Jam takes place at my favorite park in all of Northern Colorado, Boardwalk Park in Windsor, next to Windsor Lake. We will fill the park with all sorts of fun stuff for the whole family. Food from Taverna, Gelazzi, and Kona Ice. A climbing wall, bouncy castles, a slide, arts and crafts, and a coloring contest and bingo with the chance to win Water World tickets. There will also be live entertainment all day on the Spokesbuzz Stage. The line-up looks a little something like this:

  • 11:00 a.m.- Lincoln Jam Band
  • 11:45 a.m. – Paul Wozniak w/ RadVentures
  • 12:30 p.m. – Brother’s and Sisters
  • 1:15 p.m. -  Shockwave
  • 2:00 p.m. – Manny Luna
  • 2:45 p.m. – Angela Georgette
  • 3:30 p.m. – Common Anomaly
  • 4:45 p.m. – Bladeyarder
  • 5:45 p.m. – Post Paradise

Along with all the fun and entertainment we will also be collecting donations for the American Red Cross that will benefit those affected by the High Park Fire!

Free tickets are still avaliable at all Northern Colorado First National Bank locations!

See ya today from 11am-6pm at Boardwalk Park in Windsor for Jr. Jam!
