I get to be a judge this week for one of my favorite fundraising events of the year.  The Taste is Thursday (April 19th) at the Hilton in Fort Collins.  It benefits the Food Bank for Larimer County and Neighbor to Neighbor.  It’s an evening of amazing food, drink and music.

More than 30 of Larimer County’s finest restaurants and nearly 20 of the its finest wineries and breweries participate in The Taste. There is a very unique silent auction & live jazz entertainment. The silent auction features the Palette of Plates, with special plates designed by local artists and Nests for Neighbors, featuring beautifully designed bird houses.

A few awards are given out during the evening.  There is the “Copper Spoon Award”. (Which I am a judge for).  It goes to the restaurant that has the best presentation.  Last year La Creperie won. They built an Eiffel Tower out of sugar. How cool is that?  There is also the coveted “Toast of the Taste Award”, which is voted on by the people.
