Jessica Ridgeway: Her Accused Slayer Will be Charged as an Adult
It is being reported today that the prosecutors in the Austin Sigg case, Jessica Ridgeway's accused slayer, have decided to charge him as an adult.
Sigg will also be charged in a separate case against a 22 year old woman near Ketner Lake.
Sigg faces 17 charges, including four counts of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, sexual assault on a child and robbery in connection with Jessica's disappearance and subsequent murder. He is also charged with three counts of crime of violence for Jessica's murder. The crime of violence charges stem of Jessica's abduction, injury and eventual death.
Jessica was taken from her neighborhood earlier this month. Reports indicate that Sigg's mother contacted authorities about her son's possible involvement.
The attack on the 22 year old woman was a failed abduction attempt, where she was able to escape.
Sigg is due back in court the week after Thanksgiving, November 27th at 11 a.m.
