Jason Aldean ‘Takes a Little Ride’ to the Top of the iTunes All-Genre Chart

As anticipated, Jason Aldean‘s new single, ‘Take a Little Ride,’ has already blown up since impacting country radio this week. The tune made such an impressive debut that it is already sitting at No. 1 on iTunes’ all-genre singles chart, blazing past big pop artists like Katy Perry and Flo Rida.
‘Take a Little Ride’ is the debut single from Aldean’s forthcoming fifth studio album, which is slated for release later this fall. Penned by Rodney Clawson, Jim McCormick and Dylan Altman, ‘Take a Little Ride’ is a song that quickly shaped up to be an Aldean-sounding hit the day the trio wrote the tune.
“We’ve never come out of the box and gone to No. 1 so quickly,” says Aldean of the song’s fast success. “I added the song into my set this weekend on the road for the first time, and everything is feeling really great out there. I couldn’t have asked for a better kick off for this new album … my fans are unbelievable.”
This past weekend, Aldean sold out two more dates — St. Louis, Mo. and Indianapolis, Ind. — on his 2012 My Kinda Party Tour. Amazingly, 44,000 tickets were snatched up in just four minutes. Aldean’s which, that also features Luke Bryan, has sold out every stop along the way thus far.
