It's tournament time for college basketball. The Mountain West, Big Sky, and Pac 12 tournaments are all underway.  The  CU men and women both advanced yesterday.  The CSU women were eliminated from the Mountain West Tournament, and the CSU men play today!

 

  • CSU Rams men’s basketball team will match up with TCU tonight in the Mountain West Tournament in Las Vegas.  The Horned Frogs and Rams each won the home game during their regular season match-ups. Today’s game is at 3:30 in the afternoon on The Mountain.
  • The CSU women were knocked out of the Mountain West tournament last night by Boise State. The Broncos beat the Rams 68-63. The Rams finished their season 13-17. This is the third year in-a-row that Colorado State hasn’t made it past the first round of the tournament.

 

  • The UNC Bears women's basketball team is the #2 seed in the Big Sky Tournament in Pocatello, Idaho. That means they have a 1st round bye. The Bears won't play until Friday, March 9th. Their opponent will be determined after the 1st round is played.
  • After winning the Big Sky last year and making it to the Big Dance, this year the UNC men did not qualify for the Big Sky Tournament.

 

  • The 6th seeded CU Buffs men's basketball team eliminated the Utah Utes from the Pac-12 tournament with a 53-41 win last night in L.A. Tonight Colorado will play the 3rd seeded Oregon Ducks. The game is at 9:40 tonight on Fox Sports Net.
  • The CU women also knocked Utah out of the Pac-12 Tournament.  The lady Buffaloes beat the Utes 55-41. The 10th seeded Buffs play #2 seed Cal tonight.
