Two local teams advanced last night in their conference tournaments. One did not.  The CU Buffs men's basketball team advanced the Pac-12 Championship last night and the UNC Lady Bears advanced to Big Sky Championship.  The CSU  men were bounced from the Mountain West Tournament last night by top-seeded San Diego State.

The UNC Bears women's basketball team earned a spot in the Big Sky Championship game last night with a win over Montana State.  The Lady Bears beat the Bobcats 51-43 in the Semi-Final game. It's the 1st time in school history that Northern Colorado has a chance to play their way in the the NCAA tournament. The Bears take on the tournament-host and Big Sky regular season champion Idaho State Bengals tonight in the Championship. The game is set to tip off at 5:00 p.m. and can be seen on Altitude 2.


The CU Buffs men's basketball team is in the Pac-12 Championship.  Colorado earned a spot in the title game by defeating #2 seed Cal 70-59 last night in the semis.  The Buffaloes will take on Arizona in the Pac-12 Final this afternoon at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  The Championship game is at 4 this afternoon on CBS. If the Buffs win they are automatically be in the NCAA tournament, but they will likely get an at-large berth anyway.


The CSU men's basketball team was knocked out of the Mountain West Tournament last night by top-seeded San Diego State.  The Aztecs beat the Rams 79-69 in the semi-final match-up.  San Diego State will meet New Mexico in the Mountain West Championship today! The Rams finish their season with a record of 20-11.  Colorado state will now sit and wait to see if they get an invitation to the Big Dance.  The NCAA selection show is Sunday.
