It’s Time for America to Come Together as a Family – Brian’s Blog

Nobody can make you do anything. You have to make a conscious choice to do it. Things around you may influence your decision but ultimately only you can make you do something. I point this out because we seem like we are an angry divided nation and are looking for someone to bring us all together and unite us. No one person or candidate is going to do that, we need to do that ourselves. It is up to us to unite.

America is like a big dysfunctional family. We may not all get along and we argue and we may not speak to each other for awhile but when it comes down to it we are all American brothers and sisters and we need to stick together as a family. It is time to gather for the holidays, put aside our differences and share ourselves with each other. Families seem to get closer when they are faced with a threat. When a family member is threatened or in danger, all differences you have with that family member go away and all that matters is that that person is blood and you do what you can for them. Family first. Time for us to do the same with our American family. Let's quit our bickering and bitching about this and that and accept our differences. We have different values and beliefs but that doesn't make anyone right or wrong, it just makes us individuals. We are a nation of tolerance and we are free to be us and people are free to not like what we choose be but must learn to accept it. We are all entitled to that.

Our family has been threatened. We saw our cousins in France take a hit and we mourn with them while we stand beside them. Our homeland is once again a target and we need to be a force of one more than ever. Let's remember, in spite of all of our disagreements and differences, we are all in this family together brothers and sisters. Let's put aside our party affiliation for awhile and just be Americans. We need to unite now and show love, peace and acceptance with each other so we can show the evil in the world that you don't mess with our family. God bless America and may all who threaten us feel our power and unity.
