There are two days in Windsor's history that will always stand out to me. One is coming up on Monday when we mark the 9th anniversary of the tornado roaring through our town and the other happened two years ago today.

Our friend John Jacoby was shot and killed while riding his bicycle 2 years ago today. John was very dear to Todd and I. He was only 48 years old and was one of the sweetest guys you would ever meet. John was one of the first people to take it upon himself to raise money for our 28 Hours of Hope. He would stand on the streets of Windsor and in front of businesses and collect money to help abused kids. His heart was so big. I treasured the hugs he would give when he would come in and show us how much money he raised. If we all had the heart of John Jacoby the world would be a much better place.

It has been two long years and we still seem to be no closer to finding out who committed this horrible crime. We still desperately need your help finding who is responsible for this. I am still convinced that someone knows something. Someone saw something that day or has heard something since. Whoever did this had to tell someone or hint at knowing what happened. We have a wonderful community here in northern Colorado and we watch out for each other. Let’s take it upon ourselves to find this killer. We want justice for John and I still believe we can get it.

If you have any info you think may be helpful at all, contact the Windsor Police Department at 970-674-6400. You can also pass along any tips to Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers.
