We all know that our vehicles have a check engine light. It is that little indicator that you need to get your vehicle in for service and check things out now before a serious problem develops. It is a friendly reminder that you may need to change you fluids or check some belts and pressure readings. You don't just keep driving and hope it goes out. You know that you need to take care of it.

Our bodies and our lives are more important than our vehicles yet we don't listen to our own bodies 'check engine' lights. We all need to stick around on this planet and live, laugh and love some more so we need to listen to what our bodies are telling us. I have had many issues, including diabetes and a heart attack, through the years but am still very guilty of just hoping my 'check engine' light will turn itself off. I should know better by now.

My light has been on for a few months now and I finally went to the doctor yesterday to get it checked out. I am so glad I did. I got some new meds and am already feeling better mentally and physically than I have in quite some time. I am waiting for blood work results and will do whatever I am told to do to get myself in proper running condition. I will never have a race car engine but I know I have a lot of miles left on me and if I take of me, I can be around for many many more years. You owe it to yourself and your family and loved ones to make sure you are in good running condition. They are counting on you. Don't turn a blind eye to your warning signs. Get yourself checked out before you can no longer repair your engine. You only get one shot at this so don't ignore your warnings.
