I Am An Individual – Brian’s Blog

I am Brian Gary. I am an individual. I ride a motorcycle but am not a biker. I love rodeo and country music but am not a cowboy. I believe in God but not a specific church. I am me. I am not a Republican. I am not a Democrat. I am not an Independent. I am an American. I am a free thinking, non-group affiliated human.

I feel when you give yourself to a group you are giving away part of yourself as an individual and your freedom to be whatever you want to be. I find it hard to believe that if you are a member of a certain group that you think all the other groups are just plain wrong.

This is where politics get frustrating to me. I always feel like they play like schoolyard children who are playing a game of keep-away from each others parties. I would like to think that when you are elected to office you no longer represent the party but you represent the nation. I am going to be watching the debate tonight and I hope to see some individuals up there talking.
