We got a tip from one of our listeners this morning that I-25 was closed following a possible suicide attempt. Now, local news outlets have confirmed the incident.

This morning, shortly after 8 a.m., one of our listeners informed us that the southbound interstate was closed near U.S. Highway 34 at the Loveland exit.

We have been waiting for further confirmation, but the Loveland Reporter Herald and the Greeley Tribune have reported that a man did jump from the overpass onto the sounth-bound lanes of I-25, and was transported to the hospital.

The interstate was reopened around 8:30, and police are still investigating.

This news is absolutely heartbreaking. It was just days ago that hundreds of our listeners got together on U.S. Highway 34 to raise money for suicide prevention in Northern Colorado, as it is something that affects so many of us.
