Human remains were discovered in the Berthoud Falls area over the weekend, opening up the possibility that they could belong to a man that went missing in January.

According to the Associated Press, search teams continued their search this weekend for 42-year-old Jeremy Rich, who was last seen leaving work on January 22. So far, the search has been unsuccessful - though, the discovery of human remains on Sunday gives investigators hope that we'll be able to know what might have happened to Rich.

It is not confirmed that the remains are those of Rich, but the Clear Creek County coroner is working to identify them.

Clear Creek County Undersheriff, Bruce Snelling, confirmed the remains were those of an unidentified male and were found near the Urad Mine in central Colorado in the Berthoud Falls area.
