It is very slick out there today. Please be careful when you go out and hit the roads today and use your winter driving skills. Driving on the ice can be a terrifying ordeal but if you take it nice and slow and follow a few safety tips you will much more secure.

Always anticipate the road ahead. Look ahead and be prepared for what may in front of you. Don't just wing it. Keep both hands on the wheel and focus.

Leave plenty of extra space between you and the vehicle in front of you. Leave plenty of room in case the car in front of you spins out, you have plenty of time to react.

Do one thing at a time. When you approach a corner, brake on the straight line before the curve then let off the brake and steer around the corner then accelerate again when out of the curve.

Make sure your tires are properly inflated. This can make a big difference in traction and be sure to dress very warm. Be prepared and you will be just fine.
