With Charley Barnes being in Topeka this weekend to fight against those who DO NOT respect those who have bravely served this country, it's only fitting that we acknowledge those who DO respect the Greatest Americans!

This Sunday (September 9) 122 veterans, ranging in ages from 27 to 96, will be leaving from Loveland to DIA for a trip that they have earned: A FREE trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials there that represent all that they have given to the U.S.A!  Honor Flight Northern Colorado (HFNC) will conduct another two day trip for veterans of WWII, the Korean War era, and recipients of the Purple Heart for those wounded in combat in Vietnam and Iraq.

Since 2008, Honor Flight Northern Colorado has taken 8 flights (Sunday will be the 9th) to Washington; after Sunday's Flight, they will have given nearly 2,000 veterans Honor Flights!

There is no cost to these veterans. Northern Coloradans are expressing appreciation to our neighbors for their service and sacrifice to our nation. The veterans will visit memorials dedicated to those Americans who have defended our country, and preserved our Constitution, freedoms, and quality of life.

Sunday's Flight begins with the send off from Embassy Suites in Loveland from 7am-8:30am before heading to DIA.

Everyone is encouraged to come out Sunday morning to meet, shake hands with and get photos with, and personally thank  the men and women who throughout seven decades, risked their lives while earning a revered place in U.S. history!
