Honor Flight Northern Colorado Announce New Departure Location for September Flight

After years of leaving from the Embassy Suites in Loveland, this year's September Honor Flight will be leaving from a different location.

It seems as though there were booking issues that will require the September Honor Flight from here in Northern Colorado to depart from a different location. The location for the September flight will be at the Event Center at Island Grove in Greeley and all the normal times for departure will be the same.

Please note that this is not a permanent thing and flights in the future will continue to depart from the Embassy Suites in Loveland. Most of the route will not impact the hordes of people who come out along I-25 from Loveland South of Highway 34. If you are one of the many though that like to see the very beginning, please take note of the new route for the September flight:

• Buses will load and depart from the Island Grove Event Center
• 11th Avenue to O Street
• O Street West to 83rd Avenue
• 83rd Avenue to West 10th Street
• West 10th Street into Highway 34 and then I-25

If you plan on standing along the new route, you are being asked to stand in any area West of 83rd Avenue there on West 10th Street because everything else is to narrow and dangerous for vehicles to pull off to wave flags.
