Homecoming Week at a Broomfield School Begins Tragically
Homecoming week at Legacy High School in Broomfield begins tragically. Yesterday afternoon a school bus carrying high school football players veered off a roadway and slammed into a concrete pillar at DIA killing the driver and injuring 18 passengers.
The bus had just picked up JV and varsity team members returning from a game in California.The woman bus driver has not yet been identified. Most of the students were treated and released.15 students were taken to a hospital and three coaches suffered serious injuries and remain hospitalized.
Crisis support councilors will be available for students today.
