High Park Fire Sunset – Devastating Yet Beautiful [PICTURES]

How can something so devastating be so beautiful? The High Park Fire has taken a life!  Dozens of homes have been lost!  Thousands of acres of forest have been destroyed! Through all of that, the sunsets have been spectacular.

I don't want to make it sound trivial, because it's not.  My heart goes out to every person in Colorado who has been affected by the fire.  My heart breaks when I watch the news coverage.

My family has had not one, but two home fires.  I know what it is like to lose absolutely everything.  That is when you find out what is really important in life, and it's not stuff.

My wife and I took these pictures. We tried to capture  a little bit of beauty in all of the devastation.
