High Park Fire – Incredible Firefighting Photos [PICTURE Gallery]

My wife Jenny has a friend named Ken who is an amazing photographer. Recently he took his camera up to Horsetooth Reservoir to take some pictures of the High Park Fire. He was kind enough to share some of the unbelievable shots that he captured.
Most of the photos are of firefighting pilots in action. There are a couple of very dramatic shots as a helicopter works to save a home that is surrounded by fire and smoke. It is incredible how close to the deadly flames the photographer appears to be. You can almost smell the smoke and feel the heat from the fire, but Ken told me on the phone that a telephoto lens can do some amazing things.
All of the pictures are taken by Ken Katona. (Pictured to the right) Thank you Ken for sharing your brilliance with all of us. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families who have been affected by the High Park Fire.
