Coaches, organizations, day camps and more have been really smart in rescheduling, relocating and flat out canceling strenuous activities since the High Park Fire. Here's how the air looks today.

Today's air quality forecast is unhealthy for sensitive groups. People with heart or lung disease, older adults and children should reduce prolonged or strenuous activities. There are a moderately high amount of particles in the air that can't always be seen with the naked eye, but can cause serious health complications to sensitive groups.

Signs all groups should look for:

  • Scratchy throat
  • Irritated sinuses
  • Headaches
  • Shortness of breath
  • Stinging eyes
  • Chest pain
  • Runny nose

If you can see or smell smoke, even if you are in the healthy group, you should limit outdoor activities. Wildfire smoke contains pollutants that can be harmful to your health, even affecting your body's immune system.  If your symptoms are prolonged or become more severe contact your doctor.
