The High Park Fire has come to 100% containment at 87,284 acres.  Containment means that a containment line exists around the fire to hold the fire within the perimeter.

Hot spots exist within the perimeter and residents could see smoke for days and weeks. Citizens are urged to avoid the area if possible and drive cautiously as emergency and other personnel will continue to work in the area.

Evacuation orders for the High Park Fire have been lifted. All county roads have been opened including Highway 14 in the Poudre Canyon.

The Pingree Park, Upper Buckhorn, Monument Gulch, and Rist Canyon neighborhoods will be restricted to residents only.

The High Park Fire started in early/mid June from a lightning strike.
