Most nights of the week, my lovely wife and I have at least one TV show we like to watch.  I was thinking about all of our favorites recently, and I thought it would be fun to share them with you (in no particular order), and then get your suggestions! So here they are...

  • Doctor Who

    on BBC America

One of the longest-running TV shows in history (50 years), "Doctor Who" has had a major surge in popularity in recent years. I started watching about two years after it was revived and revitalized in 2005, and I was instantly hooked. When I finally convinced my wife Robyn to give it a shot, she became an instant fan as well. Now, we simply can't miss an episode. I pay way more than I probably should for our cable TV service, just so we can watch The Doctor on BBC America. :)

  • Face Off

    on Syfy

Robyn is a very talented makeup artist, and I'm a huge (if biased) admirer of her work. So naturally, a reality show competition all about crazy makeup is high on our list of favorite shows!

  • Bates Motel

    on A&E

I had seen ads here and there for this prequel to Alfred Hitchcock's horror classic "Psycho," but I never made time to sit down and watch it until I stumbled upon the first season on Netflix. Robyn and I were both instantly enthralled in this story about how a kind-hearted, naive teenager gradually evolves into one of cinema's best-known psychopaths. The second season just started on A&E, and we're gobbling up new episodes as soon as they air.

  • Worst Cooks in America

    on Food Network

Robyn and I love Food Network; and "Worst Cooks" is no exception. Two celebrity chefs scour the country for the absolute worst cooks they can find, and then pit them against each other in cooking challenges. Hilarity ensues, and the contestants actually learn to cook along the way too!

  • Dracula

    on NBC

Having just wrapped up its first season, I really hope they bring "Dracula" back. It's not often you see this sort of historical fantasy on major networks; but this is just about as good as it gets. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is awesome in the title role; and the writing is quite good, in my opinion.
