What is wrong with the world these days? There is a lot of good out there but there is pure evil lurking around everywhere as well. Reading the news today just makes me shake my head and wonder what we can do to calm things down. It was sad enough when that poor lady was shot in the neck just a few weeks ago and yesterday's news really has me shaken.

Our friend John Jacoby was shot and killed while riding his bicycle yesterday. John was very dear to Todd and I. He was only 48 years old and was one of the sweetest guys you would ever meet. John was one of the first people to take it upon himself to raise money for our 28 Hours of Hope. He would stand on the streets of Windsor and in front of businesses and collect money to help abused kids. His heart was so big. I treasured the hugs he would give when he would come in and show us how much money he raised. If we all had the heart of John Jacoby the world would be a much better place.

He was just riding along on his bike when some piece of crap of a person shot him twice and robbed him of his life. Why? What is wrong with people? This was just a sweet man riding his bike. I cannot wrap my brain around this. It just hurts my heart.

We need your help finding who is responsible for this. Someone knows something. Someone saw something. Someone heard something. Keep your ears open. Whoever did this will tell someone or hint at knowing what happened. We have a wonderful community here in northern Colorado and we watch out for each other. Let's take it upon ourselves to find this killer. We want to feel safe and we want justice for John. Whoever did this better hope the police find them before I do. I would love a few minutes alone with the killer and they would be praying for the police to come help them.
