Help Me Wish a Happy 3rd Birthday to My Grandson Zayden – Brian’s Blog [PICTURES]

How do you even begin to say thank you to someone who has makes your life worth living every single day? How does someone who is only 3 years old know exactly what you need on a daily basis? My grandson Zayden is celebrating his 3rd birthday today and I want to try to let him know what he has meant to this ole Papa.

I hope one day when he is older and can read that he will sit down and read this and know what he has done for me. My life is a wonderful gift to get to live but believe me it also has a huge boatload of stress to pull along with it, just like yours. I need some daily joy that I can count on and Zayden provides that for me without effort. I get to come home every day to those beautiful little eyes and that huge heart and feel his love. I get to hear "papa's home" the minute I walk through the door and that alone can wipe out any bad day work has dealt you. There is no one on this planet that can make me laugh like this little guy. He has such a comedian. He just loves to laugh and be happy, which is all I ever want out of a day.

     Thank you Zayden for being my friend and showing me what is important in life. Life is about sharing smiles and hugs and being there for the ones you love. You remind me of this every day. I remember when you were very little and we wondered what your voice would sound like when you started to speak words. I now have no idea what the house sounds like without your voice in it. I don't think you have quit talking since you learned how. I love every minute that we get to sit together and watch Paw Patrol or Blaze and the Monster Machines. I love making smores with you. I love hearing you tell me about what you made in the sandbox but most of all I just love watching you. You are pure joy and I am so thankful to have been there to share every minute of your three years. I will always be there for you and will always love you no matter where life takes you or whatever you do. You may only be three today but you are the most consistently wonderful element of my life. You make your papa proud. I can't wait to watch you bust open your minion pinata tonight and fight you for the candy. Happy birthday Zayden! I love you so much buddy.
