Happy First Birthday to My Grandson Zayden – Brian’s Blog [PICTURES]

It is hard to believe it was one year ago today that my heart grew. I thought I had a full heart and couldn't possibly have any more love to give and then came along a little boy named Zayden. My grandson Zayden turns one today and I am so lucky he came into my life. He has a smile to melt the coldest of hearts and is just a ball of fun.

I am so lucky to come home everyday and see this little smiling face looking over the gate that blocks the stairs welcoming me home to playland. He just wants to laugh and wrestle and sing and scream just like I do. I am so looking forward to watching whatever this little guy turns into. He is adorable with his messy little head of hair. He kind of looks like a tiny sweaty Waylon Jennings without the hat and beard.

We had a little early party for him yesterday and he got to cover himself in cake. I hate that the tradition of getting to cover yourself in cake ends after one year. I would still love to cover me in cake once a year. I can't wait to get home and hold my little buddy today. Happy Birthday Zayden. Thank you for always reminding me what life is all about.
