Happy Birthday Zander – Brian’s Blog

It was 2 years ago that my life changed forever. I became a grandpa on this day in 2010 as the most wonderful gift in the world was born, my grandson Zander. I had been told that being a grandparent was the greatest thing in the world but it is even more amazing than I expected. I cannot put into words how much I love this little guy but will try.

I have the blessing of having my buddy live in my basement so I have been able to watch him

grow. I am so lucky to have such a fun best friend. He makes me laugh every day and that is such a gift. I have found that a child is the best listener in the world. He wants nothing out of life but to be happy. I feel the same way. Life gets ugly sometimes and I have a constant reminder in front of me of what is really important in life...LOVE.

Zander, I hope when you are older you will read this and know what you mean to me. Thank you for showing me joy. Thank you for teaching me what is and isn't important. Thank you for making me feel like a super hero every time you say "paw paw". Thank you for making me a better person. It is because of your love that I feel I can handle whatever life gives me. You have changed my life in so many ways and I may never be able to thank you enough but please know that I would give my life for you. No matter what happens in your life I will always be there for you Zander. I love you with all my
