I love going to back to when I first began at K99 and pulling out some of the great songs I was playing when this career began. I remember back in the very early 90's hearing a guy named Hal Ketchum and thought his folksy, unique style was a breath of fresh air. The first time I heard "Past the Point of Rescue" I remember being knocked out. It was not like anything else being played on the radio.

Hal went on to have many many memorable hits over the next few years and his Greatest Hits album in a must for your collection. Hal was born in Greenwich, New York on this date 65 years ago today. Happy birthday Hal and thanks for the great music. I am still cranking it up at the Gary household.
