The year was 1986. We were packing the theaters to see "Top Gun". Our TV's were tuned into Magnum P.I. and The Cosby Show. The top country song was "I Could Get Used To You" by Exile and on the pop charts we were singing along to "Walk Like An Egyptian". The hot new toy was something new called Nintendo.

1986 was also the year that I married my high school sweetheart and best friend Kyla. Today we celebrate our 28th anniversary. We are proof that you should never give up. We have had our ups and downs and have had many struggles of all varieties but are still standing hand in hand. She has been my rock through career and health  problems. She has always been there to support me and tell me I am good enough and not to listen to what others may be saying. I always know I am not alone. She has got my back. She is the greatest mother and grandmother in the world. I can't tell you how much my kids and grand kids love that woman.

Thank you for putting up with me and my quirks and making this the most amazing adventure a man could have. Through it all you have been at my side. Thank you and Happy 28th Anniversary.
