The Public is invited to a ground breaking ceremony today (Wednesday, October 3rd) at 12:30 p.m. for the Northern Colorado Regional Crime Lab.     The ceremony will be held at the Greeley Business Park located at the South East corners of highways 34 and 257.  The construction site for the lab facility is situated directly south of the Noble Energy building and just to the North and East of the Pepsi Distributing facility.

The Weld County Sheriff's Office has partnered with the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, the Greeley Police Department, the Loveland Police Department, the Fort Collins Police Department, and the Weld County District Attorney’s Office to build a crime lab that would service the needs of police agencies in Northern Colorado.

Through several federal grants and through funding by Weld County, a 20,000 sq ft crime lab facility will be constructed in our community.  On Wednesday, the ground breaking will begin the process of bringing all of the efforts of the partner agencies to a reality.
