Ground Beef Recall
Colorado is among the states affected by a recall of over 16,000 pounds of ground beef patties due to the risk of potentially deadly E. coli bacteria contamination. Seattle based Sysco is recalling the meat imported from Canada, which was intended primarily for distribution to restaurants.
New Food Classics has been at the center of several recalls in Canada first announced by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. At least one illness was reported from consumption of meat products affected by the Canadian recall, according to a news release.
The following products are subject to recall:
- 10 lb. boxes of PRIME RIB BEEF PATTIES 8 oz, with product code 55317, and production code 11 NO 22
- 10 lb boxes of PRIME RIB BEEF PATTIES 71g, with product code 55391 and bearing a production code of 11 SE 01 or 12 JA 04
