Inspired by stories collected by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm (The Grim Brothers), The Grimm Brothers Brewhouse captivates the long European traditions of producing beer.

Founded by avid home-brewers, Aaron Heaton and Don Chapman, they wanted wanted to spread the tradition of beer production of Germany and its surrounding areas, the way the Grimm Brothers shared their stories of Cinderella, Rapunzel and Snow-White and Rose-Red.

With the IPA craze running through the craft beer world, the Grimm Bros. focus on using ancient inspirations and recipes, with modern techniques. The result, is an incredible lineup of easy drinking, aromatic and flavorful beers, with a European feel. Grimm Bros. selection of beers is the kind of beer you grab, and site down and enjoy with your friends while you're camping, at the park or eating dinner. Now this doesn't mean they don't do the occasional IPA. Like all craft brewhouses, they love to experiment and try new things, and they traditionally do an IPA once a year.

If they didn't experiment, they never would have come up with Little Red Cap, their GABF Gold Medal winning beer. Red Cap, is brewed using a style perfected by ancient Dusseldorf monks, using the top fermenting yeast of an ale and the cold conditioning of a lager. After trying several of their selections, I can't wait to see what they bring to America on Tap on May 2.

GABF Gold Medal winning, a clean-tasting, full-bodied ale, known as Altbier. They've crafted their own version of an Altbier from specialty malts and the finest European and American hops.

A Munich Dunkel (Doon-kel) lager, dominated by malty aromas reminiscent of fresh baked bread. Fearless Youth has ruby highlights, with crisp malty notes of caramel, bread crusts, chocolate, and biscuits with just enough hop bitterness to balance.

A clean, crisp, hoppy Pilsner. Brewed in the Czech style this beer features a malty pilsner aroma and flavor. It’s perfectly balanced with the floral hoppy character of Saaz hops.
